The wheels of energy in the body that start at the crown of your head, and travel down the body to the base of your spine are called chakras. When spinning properly, each chakra allows energy to flow through the body. If these wheels of energy become blocked by stress, anxiety or emotional upheaval, your well-being can suffer.
Today we are going to talk about:
The seventh chakra, the crown chakra or sahasrara
Located at the top of the head. “Sahasrara” means “thousand-petaled” and represents a thousand-petaled lotus flower.
Associated with the element of thought, this energy center controls your connection to spirit, as well as your sense of universal consciousness, wisdom, unity, and self-knowledge.
Color:
Its associated color is violet or purple. It represents the color of enlightenment or pure thoughts.
Shape:
The shape is of thousand petals. One petal over another represents the number of thoughts in our mind.
The word “om” is generally a part of this chakra and it represents the sound of your thoughts.
We use the lotus petal motif and start from half of two motifs like this.
The rest of the shape is a repetition of the same.
If your chakra is not aligned you may experience lack of focus and indecisiveness.
